Chad Ochocinco-Chad Ochocinco Usurps Roger Godell As New NFL Commissioner
Breaking News-Chad Ochocinco-As Chad Ochocinco pushes the limits of Twitter, it seems there may be a new commissioner in the National Football League. This morning, Ochocinco tweeted on Twitter that he was being urined tested again. As if that wasn’t enough, Chad took a photo of the notice and uploaded it to Twitpic.com. Chad’s tweets are challenging the authority of NFL commissioner Roger Godell and the league’s policy regarding the use of social media devices.
Ochocinco’s Twitpic had obviously been crumpled up before the photo had been taken. So what does his crumpled photo on the internet and his grumbling about being urine tested mean to the NFL? Evidently nothing. Roger Godell, the NFL commissioner, has previously created a Twitter policy, in direct response to Ochocinco’s tweets, about using social media devices on game day. Currently, players are not allowed to tweet 90 minutes before a game, during the game, or until press conferences are completed after games.
Now it seems, unless Godell responds to Ochocinco’s latest tweet, players will be able to publicly gripe and complain about every single policy and call they don’t care for. Chad’s latest tweet is definitely a challenge to the NFL commissioner. It seems pretty apparent, without any response from Godell, that Chad Ochocinco is the tail that wags the dog. Say hello to your new commissioner of NFL football–Chad “The Commissioner” Ochocinco–now that has a nice ring to it.
